Getting started with your Polaroid ZIP
Frequently asked questions.
Please be sure that the Polaroid Premium ZINK™ Paper is inserted properly in the camera. When loading the paper, the glossy side should be facing up. Please review the paper loading instructions included in your quick start guide.
You can insert up to 10 sheets and one Color Calibration sheet at a time.
Your printer will pair automatically with the closest printer available. To set up the pairing, simply select a picture and click print. A pop up menu will appear with the available devices in your area and once you select your desired device, your phone will pair with your ZIP and your picture will print.
To print a picture, you will only need a Bluetooth connection.
This is most likely caused by dust in the print roller. Please take a clean, dry cotton swab and clean the roller in the paper tray. If this was not successful, you can use a can of compressed air to clean inside the printing mechanism.
Please reset the Polaroid ZIP printer by pressing the Reset button that is next to the charging port.
A recalibration of the printer will fix this issue. To do this, please follow the steps below.
Open the door and remove the film.
Place the Blue Calibration Sheet face down and then place the film in with the shiny side facing up.
Close the door and press the button like you are taking a picture.
Open the door and place the film in with the shiny side facing up.
Close the door and print pictures as you please.
The Polaroid ZIP was designed to work only with Polaroid Premium ZINK™ Paper. Other papers may not be compatible with this printer.
We recommend using any power adapter rated at 5V and 2 Amps and support the following brands: iClever, BoostCube, Omni Inc, Canjoy, Ailkin, Archeer, Power-7, & Urophylla.
Please make sure that you are using an iPhone 5 and up (we don’t support phones below that version). Further, in order for the Polaroid ZIP app to work properly on your phone, you must be using your phone’s latest software update. When these details are resolved, your ZIP app will stop crashing. If you keep encountering these problems please delete the app and re-download it.
